Ahh yess the holidays..2 months of nothing to do..slacking around not needing to touch any book for revision..

After reading the first line..probably many ppl will rejoice to that idea of having 2months off..However not me..Yes i do welcome the holidays as it gives me a break from the fast-paced Singapore education that demands nothing but excellence in academic. Areas such as sports are currently coming up but still, academic excellence is still the top priority. Jobs still look for candidates with high qualifications and doesnt realie look beyond the piece of paper called certificates. What does leadership, active sportsman or responsible qualities get u?No where without the piece of paper called certs.

I have thought poly lyfe will be less stressful and more relaxed as compared to jc students. After one semester in poly, to those who think juz lyke me, pls change your mindset. It is not. Competing for the same job as those with the same diploma when you graduate is an eerie feeling. Especially if they graduate with a much better diploma result then u. Certainly, employers will employ them rather than me. U have one chance for every subject n u have to do well in that one chance. As compared to jc students, they are able to scrape through their first yr and work hard for their second yr. Bt for us poly students, we have to work hard at every single semester. So ppl pls change your mindsets.

Relax, relax and relax. This word really means alot to us students in general. We should use this time to fully utilise it to do what we could not when we are schooling. For those thinking of working(including me), yes u can work to earn that extra cash but pls remember to relax in between. Your body realie needs it. Dun overdo it.

Use the holidays to catch up with your family n friends. Spent time with them. Even if it is for a short period of time, it still show that u care n it will mean alot to them. Use time wisely and time will be kind to you..Show that u care and u will be taken cared of.

And to my dear Roszana, whatever ur decision is im sure it will be a good one and im here to give u my fullest support okay. I dun want to see my buddie so down. Cheer up. Smile lyke u've never smiled before. Remember ur own quote which u tell me to okay..Why dwell on the past when the future is there for the taking. Push away your sorrows and welcome back your happiness with open arms aite :)
